icarusing: Megan is kind of the Cabin Pressure queen, and she’s lovely and sweet and a dork, and she doesn’t post as often as she used to because she’s busy being a Responsible Adult with a Professional Vocation, but her existence makes me happy.

teacupsandcyanide: Lenna is one of those people who’s so crazy-beautiful in every way that I sometimes can’t believe that she bothers to talk to me. She writes songs that make me cry, and her writing is beautiful, and wow she’s the best best friend I could ask for. She’s helped me through so much personal blargh, and is generally witty and lovely and kind, and sometimes she makes me feel so full of affection that I just want to stand on my roof and shout out to the world, “MY BEST FRIEND LENNA IS AN AMAZING HUMAN BEING AND IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHO SHE IS YOU WILL SOON BECAUSE SHE IS SOMETHING NEW” because she’s so phenomenal and I forced my family to listen to her songs by being all casual-not-casual and essentially going “oh hey we’re in a car we’re going on a car ride cars I bet we’ll need some tunes yes here just let me put on my iPod nothing special oh you know not really but if you don’t like it we can’t be related anymore oops” because I’m actually a terrible actor. And I don’t know feelings I can’t words sorry.

mishavore: She is, as I may have mentioned before, one of my Tumblr crushes whose blog I mostly stalk from afar, but her writing routinely blows my mind, and her cosplays are adorable.

problempacifist: Rochelle is my RL friend who actually kind of sort of talked me into joining Tumblr, and she’s entirely adorable and witty and ridiculous. She sometimes acts a bit like some form of tiny garden gnome, and she makes up these ridiculous songs about everything, and is generally as endearing as possible. She may have stepped out of a children’s show.

stilinskifamilyfeels: Aley is hilarious and wonderful and she has a sword-and-gun collection so you should maybe check her out before she smites you.

spectacularlyignorant: My lovely buddy in the lesbian haircut club. I just like her a lot.

amenaza: Ame is so lovely and witty and amazing. And I sometimes feel weird about the fact that she’s younger than me so I sometimes try to be all protective over her, when really she stands for far less nonsense than I ever do, because she’s one of those people who is always, genuinely, one-hundred percent herself, and she refuses to tiptoe around anyone. And that’s wonderful.

cosmostrekker: Shanzay is just such my favorite in every way. I’ve called her in the middle of panic attacks, like during the actual hyperventilating and crying stage, and given that fact, I feel qualified to say that she is one of the kindest, most generous people you could know. And she has this crazy affection for the Sherlock fandom. Not crazy in its fact so much as its scope. Also, she runs the Johnlock Party thing which is pretty excellent.

freyahere: Freya pretends to be a huge troll, but she’s actually lovely. And British. And I love her a lot and she is secretly married to MJ, which is adorable.

Seriously, anon, you’re too kind. And if you think that my blog’s good, you clearly need to consider adjusting your standards for quality. I’d recommend a rigorous dose of quality therapy in order to re-calibrate them, so check some of these people out (if you’re not already following them), because they will rock your world (obviously this is a very incomplete list because my fingers get tired faster than my HEART does):

• penworthy - One of the nicest fandom celebrities ever. She’s super sweet and not at all stuck up, and she’s also very talented and a crackmaster of perfection. Her fics rock my world. And she’s a member of the Arisquadron, so you know that she’s awesome.
• spamsterlady - Wuality and Cabbu Clob master of ceremonies. Probably the nicest person on Tumblr. Nicest. Ever. This is a fact. She loves everything brilliant and will make you very happy if you like suit porn and John Simm. Her fics are amazing, and her cat and cosplays are made of adorable. I love her.
• sherlockscoat - One of my first Tumblr friends and my bro for life. She has great musical taste, loves suits and Dylan Moran, and has perfect headcanons. And if you’re not very careful, she will show and tell you far more than you ever needed to know about fetishes, fics, and what Bilbo would use while thinking about Smaug in a totally heterosexual way.
• fildespensees - Rashmi is my geography buddy, and we still need to meet up to fangirl and cosplay and freak everyone out. Major Sherliarty shipper and all-around perfect person. She’s a lover, not a fighter, a Baker Tweeter and a jam eater.
• cosmostrekker - Shanzay is so badass that I think that she might be the result of The FreeMaster and River Song having furious sex and then babies. She has more than a little Time Lord in her, and she’ll share it with you if you ask nicely. Her poems make my heart sing.
• thegarlicbreadturtle - Maybe this is kind of a biased opinion, because I’ve known Rochelle IRL since way before Tumblr was ever a thing for me, but she’s one of the cutest, kindest, funniest, smartest people I’ve ever met, and I really adore her. If you like Homestuck, Sherlock, fangirling, Nerdfighteria, and reading intelligent posts and observations about politics, religion, and history, follow immediately. Plus she’s whump-tastic. I don’t like to kiss and tell, but I definitely spooned that like a shot.
• sonic-salt-and-sherlock - Len was my first Tumblr friend ever, and she’s amazing. Hilarious, crack-loving, brilliant. Follow, because you won’t regret it.
• xxdowntherabbitholexx - Kayla writes brilliant fics (just read orchestra!Sherlock if you don’t believe me), and has a very sensible policy of shipping all of the things. She’s far too kind and humble, and definitely deserves way more love than she’s already getting.
• cptfunk - Wait, did I say that Macey is the nicest Tumblr/fandom famous person? I lied; she and Caitlin will have to bitchslap each other to determine the winner of that contest. She puts up with my stalking and writes perfect songs of perfection, so following is a must. Plus she has great taste in movies and shares my very mixed feelings about Orson Scott Card and his books, so she’s an automatic follow. But I’m sure that you’re already following her, so it’s all good.
• theconsultingbitch - Rochelle 2 is way nicer and more awesome than she gives herself credit for. She ships all of the best ships and says all of the best things. She’s just super cool, and I kind of want to be her when I grow up. Also, I suspect that she’s the empress of the Sherliarty shippers. 
• valeria2067 - Valeria may actually be River Song. Seriously. I’ve never seen her face straight up, so I can’t confirm, but she definitely has the awesome hair, cleavage, and BAMFitude for it. I wouldn’t discount the possibility just yet. I didn’t fully realize it until recently, but she’s one of the smartest and most hilarious people in the Sherlock fandom. She also has the magical ability to make me ship het; I dont know if I ship her harder with BAMF!John or Mr. Valeria (I feel like I’m in preschool or something when I call him that, but oh well). I’m almost certain that you’re all following her already, but do it if you’re somehow not. Especially if you love BAMF!John and Martin Freeman.
• idratherbereading - Brilliant writer and the best English professor ever. I want for you to teach me your ways of perfection. 
• amenaza - Everyone claims that captaindonscap runs the Cabin Pressure fandom, but Ame could probably give her a run for her money, or at least be the Anthea to her Mycroft. Adorable, brilliant, amazing, grumpy in a nice way. And as her resident Pocket!Charlotte, I can tell you that she spends all of her time being perfect. I don’t even know how she manages it.
• haikuparjour - If someone made a Netflix-style recommendation engine for Tumblr users, she and I would come as a package deal. So think me but more sophisticated. We both play mallet percussion, we both write poems (but she writes haikus because they’re fancy and precise and stuff, whereas I write limericks because I’m bawdy and also Irish), we both fangirl over the same celebrities and shows. And madam, I will talk you into doing a smut poem collab blog with me. This is happening.
• teacupsandcyanide - So lovely, she always makes me chuffle/Even if her cake pics make me hungry and troubled/We both love apple juice with feelings pure and true/So go follow her on the double.
• shockblanketsarecool - Okay, no, Jay is the nicest fandom celebrity. Definitely. I’m certain of this. Already following, you say? Well, screw that. Try ask-spamming or something. Yeah.
• jawnlovesjumpers - Joze is my cross-country fangirl buddy, and I love her with the fiery passion of a thousand Shwatsonlocks. She ships all of the things and fangirls over all of the things, and I’m sorry for trolling her and for never finishing that Moriarty fic for her. I will get on that like a fruit bat. Or some non-lame rhyme. 
• vauxhallarches - My wife who lives in Canada. I put a ring on it, so you know that she’s worth it. Follow follow follow. Especially if you like Martin Freeman, Cabin Pressure, and more Martin Freeman.
• rockinjanelle - The most quality person ever to insist that she’s un-quality, Janelle is queen of Mystrade shippers, for serious. Her fics are amazing, her liveblogs are better, and she’s just flawless and lovely all around. And far too modest. Not the cool mom, perhaps, but definitely amazing. Also adorable. Her Glee fangirling makes me want to squee and pinch her cheeks. Family dynamics, we can do them.
• thethreepatchproblem - The cool mom, and Janelle’s second in command when it comes to Mystrade shipping. She’s clever and sarcastic and says super amazing things that I always wish I could’ve come up with myself. Follow, yes?
• comealongpond and stilltheonlyoneintheworld: Listing Melanie and Amelia together because they apparently know each other IRL; how adorable is that? REALLY FREAKING ADORABLE IS THE ANSWER. Follow Amelia for her hair, singing skills, BAMFery, epic slashing, and dapperness. Follow Mel for her adorableness, ridiculously kind tendencies, love of homoerotic subtext, and multi-fandom awesomeness. Follow them both because they are my favorites and make me love Australia.
• inspector-snuggles - My other favorite Australian and platonic harem buddy, Hannah is amazing. She shares my love of hands and Andrew Scott and watching beautiful actors make eyes at each other. And she is adorable and kind and also beautiful (not that that’s the most important thing, but it is just one of her many good qualities and yeah). And her taste is impeccable.
• theconsultingginger - Katie is what happens when several fandoms love each other very much, and then they give each other special hugs and a Katie is born. Then they argue over paternity because they all want to take credit for her awesome. Katie is adorable and flawless and dirty-minded and kind, all wrapped up in an amazingly huggable Australian package. She is one of the other reasons that Australia is my new favorite nation. There’s something in the water there, I swear, and it makes people into epic-level BAMFs.
• serellie - My first stalker and original Canadian love/clavicle fangirl. Sara’s so kind and hilarious all of the time, but she can also be super thoughtful and is always amazingly insightful about the fangirl life. She’s kind of maternal a lot of the time, but in a non-weird way. She’s sort of like a cool aunt who will give you lots of innuendos and fic links instead of soup and hand-me-down clothes.
• mattedict-smitherbatch - Laurie may not be the real child of Matt Smith and Benedict Cumberbatch to my knowledge, but she is brilliant. Her posts are amazing, her gif collection is made of perfection, and I feel like I owe her all of my devotion for not unfollowing in spite of my constant wangsting and insecurity. She’s amazing, even if her photo mashups are scary as hell. And also weirdly arousing at times.
• adventurousminx - Nae is my favorite. Perhaps because I suspect that she may really be Valeria’s child with BAMF!John, and Valeria/BAMF!John is one of my OTPs. Perhaps because when I first followed her, her Texts From Benedict Cumberbatch graphic series made me choke on my drinks repeatedly. Why did I keep drinking, you ask? Because I’m dumb, is why. But anyway, Nae is opinionated and amazing, and she knows that there’s a time to just be ridiculous and a time to bitchslap people with the awesomeness and logic of your argument. She sometimes does both at once, and it is dazzling, especially if you’re as much of a rhetoric fangirl as I am. Nae is flawless, and she will make everything cream tea and perfection.
• brushrealityaside - Alesea is probably the only person whose constant URL changes don’t make me rage, because she’s worth it, even if I find that I’m always looking at her posts, going, “Do I know you?”, and then having to navigate to her page and re-confirm my idiot status. She’s a Sherlockian, so you know that she has great taste. She’s a Jam Street Irregular, so you know that her crack is the finest crack in all of the land. And I like her a lot, so you know that she must be a complete sweetheart. And I just re-read her first page, so now I know that she shares my obsession with having everything lined up all nice and straight and parallel, so I know that we can be neurotic BFFLs in perpetuity. You learn something new every day, I guess!
• jammmjamson and sassygayshockblanket - Cutest, best Tumblr people make the cutest, best Tumblr couple. I met these two in the iScribble Skype group (where I was a complete loser interloper because of my lack of talent and awkwardness, but I made my first Tumblr friends there, so social conventions can suck it), and they’re both amazing, talented BAMFs. Who I ship like burning. Which sounds awfully familiar. But I digress. Jammm’s writing is perfection, and her similes make me want to rend my hair and sob at my lack of talent. Shocky makes the best faces that I have ever seen, and also possesses the most awesome sense of humor that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. And I mean “awesome” in the literal sense of “awe-inspiring and makes me gasp in awe even though that’s redundant and technically you’re not supposed to use a word in its own definition but lexicographical conventions can also suck it because apparently that’s my overused phrase of the night”.
• s0mmerspr0ssen - Best ships. Best fics. Best everything. She has no time for nonsense, except when it suits her, and that’s great. And I have to give her serious props for being part of my Tumblr Kink Crew (catchy name, yes?), the people who got me to admit that I’m really dirty-minded, but that’s okay. Even if they don’t know that I think of them as being responsible for my lustfulness and such. Also, I know now that she does nothing but drink and be angry (because she’s German, and apparently stereotypes are accurate), which makes for some pretty awesome posts. If you’re not convinced that she’s amazing and follow-worthy, this is an artist’s rendering of her (by which I mean what I’ve gathered she must look like based on her posts and profile pic and such):

Why can’t I write follow lists on Fridays, but then I end up with this? I regret nothing.

I’m sorry if I forgot anyone, but I’ll probably write another follow list the next time that I’m feeling bored and full of Tumblr love. Which is nearly always.

Important note in case you didn’t get this and are some weird follower who doesn’t know this about me yet: I’m primarily a Sherlockian and Whovian, at least on Tumblr, as are most of the people I follow. If you are not into Sherlock or Doctor Who, I can’t guarantee that you’ll like all of the blogs on this list, although all of them are multi-fandom, because only doing one thing is boring. But then again, if you’re not into Sherlock or Doctor Who, why would you even be following me? Just in case, though.
